Economic Developers

Economic Development Organizations (EDOs) are charged with getting local and regional businesses on the path for growth — quite a tall order. The Institute for Business and Entrepreneurship shares that mission — to help build strong businesses. We guide them through applying for and obtaining capital. They develop strong, stable processes and performance. They bring jobs. The community and the state benefit.

Client consultation

Second-stage companies need specialized services to grow. The Center for Business Intelligence is there with the power of data research and technology. With a recommendation from a partner EDO, the CBI assembles a team of experts who specialize in educating business owners. Over the course of 4-6 weeks, consultants teach them how to identify and pursue growth opportunities. Meanwhile, the experts give recommendations on strategy, market research, digital media and GIS (geographic information system) services. It’s business — done intelligently.

Data for your community

IBE’s Business Dynamics Research Consortium gives EDOs a decisive edge in planning and forecasting. BRDC houses sought-after private business and private equity data from county through national levels. Our proprietary business and consumer time series data sets offer dynamic searches with visual representations in the results. Learn more.

Speaking engagements

When you need an expert to break it down, call IBE. Our state, regional and local experts dive deep into local economic conditions — and how to work with them. We help economic developers and local businesses and governments make better strategic decisions using our vast pool of data, tools and connections.
