YourEconomy.org updated with 2021 data showing economic recovery

YourEconomy.org, an online research tool that tracks business activity and impact at the local, state and national levels, has been updated with 2021 data. It paints a picture of the overall trends in the pandemic recovery as well as conditions specific to industries and individual communities for the past 18 years.

For instance, in 2020 Wisconsin experienced its highest rate of business establishment losses in 18 years at 9.4%. That was quickly followed by its highest rate of business establishment gains at 3.9% in 2021.

“Because every city or region has a different mix of economic influences, YourEconomy.org can help economic developers, researchers, businesses and government agencies understand their communities, compare them with others and ultimately make better decisions,” said Gregg Cole, creator of the interactive tool.

In addition to the standard content, custom reports are available for purchase by request. The website will be updated further in June. Learn more by signing up for newsletter updates.
